My ESL tutoring is tailored to the unique needs of those in helping professions — whether you’re working in the U.S. or in another country with U.S. tourists and expats. I aim to foster confidence in both professional and everyday communication, helping you build stronger relationships with the people you serve.

I also support intermediate and advanced ESL speakers who plan to visit the U.S. or attend a U.S. university or college, guiding you to improve your English skills for life, work, and study.

Are you looking to take the GED exam but want to review basic language arts, reading, reading comprehension, and writing skills?

I am happy to help with that.

We will use texts and products to review the areas of either exam (GED or HiSET) and work though some practice questions together until you feel comfortable taking the exam. I can also help you prep the Social Studies portion of the exam.

Civics Test Preparation

You’ll study the official pool of 100 civics questions about U.S. history, government, geography, and symbols. During the test, you’ll need to answer 6 out of 10 correct to pass

English Language Skills

We’ll practice all three parts of the English test:

  • Speaking: Conversational preparation so you can confidently respond during the naturalization interview

  • Reading: You'll practice reading aloud from real test sentences (you must read one of three correctly)

  • Writing: Writing dictated sentences (one of three correctly) used during the civics test

Interview Readiness

We'll simulate the full naturalization interview, including your Form N‑400 review, possible civics/English questions, and strategies for staying calm under oath.
