FAQs

Frequently Asked Questions

Here, you'll find answers to some of the most common questions clients have about the range of services I offer.

Whether you're seeking spiritual support, navigating end-of-life decisions, caring for a beloved animal, or improving your English skills, I'm here to walk with you—gently and respectfully.

🌱 Spiritual Direction & Officiant Services

  • Spiritual direction is a sacred space to explore your spiritual journey, questions, and experiences. It’s not about being told what to believe—it’s about being deeply listened to. I work with people from many backgrounds, including those who are spiritual but not religious, Christian, Wiccan, earth-centered, LGBTQ+, or questioning. If you're seeking meaning, connection, or clarity, spiritual direction may be for you.

  • Absolutely. Many of my clients come with painful or complex experiences in faith communities. I offer a space of radical hospitality, where all of who you are—including doubts, wounds, and hopes—is welcome.

  • As a non-denominational officiant, I offer customized weddings, memorials, and other life transition ceremonies. Each one is crafted to reflect your beliefs, relationships, and values—religious, spiritual, or secular.

🌻 End-of-Life Planning & Support (Human-Focused)

  • An end-of-life doula is a non-medical companion who supports individuals and families through the dying process. I offer emotional, spiritual, and practical support—everything from advance care planning to sitting vigil. My role is to listen deeply, honor your wishes, and walk with you or your loved one with compassion and respect.

  • Yes. I offer guidance on completing advance directives and exploring environmentally sustainable options like green burials. I can also help facilitate conversations with family members to ensure your choices are understood and respected.

  • Yes, much of my end-of-life work is available virtually, including planning, legacy work, and spiritual support. For clients in my local area, I also offer in-person presence as needed.

  • Not necessarily. In most U.S. states, you can complete advance directives—such as a healthcare proxy or living will—on your own, using legally valid forms provided by your state. I can guide you through the process, help you think through your choices, and ensure your documents reflect your wishes clearly. However, if your situation is complex (for example, involving contested family dynamics or estate planning), you may still want to consult a lawyer.

🐾 Companion Animal Care & Support

  •  I provide emotional and practical support for pet families as they prepare for and move through their animal’s dying process. This includes education around euthanasia, creating rituals, and simply being there to hold space during a deeply personal time.

  • Losing a pet can be as devastating as losing any family member. I offer group and individual grief support for anyone navigating this kind of loss—no judgment, just gentle presence and shared understanding.

  • I offer distance and in-person Reiki for dogs, cats, horses, birds, and more. Most of my work focuses on senior animals, those in palliative or hospice care, or animals with emotional and physical distress.

  • Reiki is a gentle, energy-based practice that promotes relaxation, balance, and well-being for both animals and people. It’s especially supportive during times of stress, illness, or transition. Reiki can be offered in person or as a distance session, and I provide both. Animals often respond deeply to Reiki when approached with respect, patience, and sensitivity—especially those who are aging, in hospice care, or have experienced trauma. Many clients also find comfort in receiving Reiki themselves, either during a difficult time or simply for emotional grounding and balance.

✏️ Language & Learning Support

  • I specialize in tutoring adult learners who use English in helping or service-oriented professions. I work with ESL speakers living and working in the U.S. who want to communicate more clearly and confidently with their patients, clients, or colleagues. I also support ESL speakers outside the U.S. who work with English-speaking expats, tourists, or international staff—especially in roles like social work, healthcare, veterinary care, hospitality staff, and international students. Lessons are practical, personalized, and focused on real-world communication needs. I also offer GED prep (Language Arts and Social Studies), ESL support, and U.S. citizenship preparation.

  • Yes. Whether you’re a social worker who wants to improve documentation skills or a healthcare worker focused on client communication, I tailor lessons to your professional goals and language needs.

  • All tutoring is currently offered online, giving you the flexibility to meet from wherever you are.
